Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin's Harry Ransom Center is offering a Student Intern role focused on SharePoint and Digital Workplace. The position supports the center's transition to a more collaborative Microsoft 365 environment and offers hands-on experience in information organization and internal communications.

Ideal candidates are current undergraduates or graduate students with strong communication and detail-oriented skills, who can work independently and balance a 10-hour weekly

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable learning new technology and software applications.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, specifically SharePoint and Power Automate.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SharePoint sites and digital content by creating accessible, user-friendly pages; organizing information; migrating content from legacy locations; and ensuring consistency with organizational branding, navigation, and accessibility standards.
• Assist with business process improvement projects by documenting workflows, identifying opportunities to streamline administrative processes, and developing digital solutions using Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Lists, and Power Automate to improve efficiency and collaboration.
• Provide user support and develop training resources by assisting staff with SharePoint and Microsoft 365 tools, creating quick-reference guides and instructional materials, testing new features, gathering user feedback, and helping troubleshoot common usability issues.
