Job summary

Vista Defense Technologies, LLC seeks a SharePoint Developer to support BUMED in Falls Church, VA. You will manage SharePoint/Microsoft 365 environments, develop and customize sites, and ensure security and performance.

The role requires 4+ years of help desk experience, an active Secret clearance, and strong communication skills. You will collaborate with end users to deliver effective solutions and stay current with SharePoint technologies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Help Desk experience is required.
• Associate’s degree or substantial relevant experience (≥4 years).
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint applications and Microsoft 365.
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time SharePoint/Web and Microsoft 365 development support for BUMED.
• Manage the operational SharePoint/Microsoft 365 environment, including sites, design, testing, and security.
• Develop and maintain SharePoint apps, pages, lists, forms, and workflows per stakeholder needs.
• Ensure DHA SharePoint deployment compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Plan and host new SharePoint initiatives within Navy/DHA cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with users to design solutions that address business needs.
• Produce design documents and tests; stay current with SharePoint technologies.
• Protect contractor source code as the property of BUMED.

Vista Defense Technologies, LLC (VDT) is seeking a SharePoint Developer to join our team. This position supports the IT Team’s ongoing mission at the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) in Falls Church, VA.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide full-time SharePoint/Web, Microsoft 365, and application development support, including applications such as Salesforce and ServiceNow.
• Manage BUMED’s operational SharePoint/Microsoft 365/application environment, including site collection, design, development, testing, availability, reliability, performance, monitoring, and security.
• Develop, configure, customize, and maintain BUMED HQ SharePoint/Web, Microsoft 365, and other applications, pages, sites, lists, forms, and workflows based on stakeholder business needs.
• Ensure ITACS development complies with Defense Health Agency (DHA) SharePoint environment requirements before, during, and after deployment.
• Support the planning and execution of new SharePoint-based initiatives, including managing, provisioning, and hosting sites within Navy/DHA cloud infrastructure (OBIWAN and Microsoft SharePoint Online).
• Work with project proponents and end users to design and develop solutions that address business needs and improve the SharePoint/application environment.
• Review requirements and develop technical design documents, unit tests, system tests, and implementation plans for approved projects.
• Maintain current knowledge of SharePoint development technologies and best practices, including SharePoint Framework, SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Ensure all contractor-developed source code is available on BUMED government IT systems and remains the property of BUMED.

What You Bring:

Required:

• 4+ years of Help Desk Support experience.
• Associate’s degree or significant relevant experience in excess of 4 years.
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint applications.
• MS OS Certification.
• CompTIA Security+.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
