We are currently seeking home providers in Ulysses / Grant County, KS. This role offers an average annual income of $47,000 (federally tax-free) plus monthly rent/household expenses. The position is funded by state resources, so applicants must reside in Kansas and own or rent a home suitable for hosting individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, budgeting, decision-making, etc.
- Skill acquisition and daily living activities
- Medication administration and attendance at medical appointments
- Support overall health and well‑being, including transportation
- Daily documentation via the web‑based case management application (THERAP)
- Provide fun and leisure experiences by facilitating community inclusion, integration, and socialization
- Compliance with all state/agency policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members as needed
- Support physical needs of the individual served
Optional Responsibilities
- Assistance with bathing, toileting, feeding, and behavioral support
- Support for medical protocols such as seizures, falls, and feeding tubes
- Care for individuals with complex physical or medical needs (e.g., hearing impairment, vision impairment, non‑ambulatory)
- Potential support of behavioral issues
Requirements
- Must be a resident of Kansas
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and current vehicle registration
- Active home or renters insurance
- Own or rent a suitable home or apartment, condo, or townhouse
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Experience preferred but not required
- Reliable computer and internet access
- Complete all state‑mandated trainings
- Environmentally safe and clean residence
- Ability to pass State/Federal and APS/CPS background checks
