Shapecutter and Crane Operator in Valley, NE at Valmont Careers

Join Valmont, a company impacting millions worldwide through innovative technology in agriculture, energy, and infrastructure. We are looking for a dedicated Shapecutter and Crane Operator to operate shapercutters and overhead cranes, manage inventory, and support production schedules. This role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities effectively.

Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain organized inventory and records, including cycle counts.
  2. Follow and understand daily production schedules.
  3. Prepare, load, and communicate materials for upcoming production.
  4. Operate overhead cranes proficiently.
  5. Move materials according to schedules and locate materials for processing.
  6. Interpret prints for equipment programming.
  7. Communicate with team members for material movement and processing.
  8. Dispose of scrap properly and operate equipment safely.
  9. Monitor weight limits and ensure safety policies are followed.
  10. Perform other duties to meet customer requests.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and IFS.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read measurement tools and prints.
  • Positive interaction with coworkers.
Preferred Experience:
  • Programming CNC machinery.
  • Operating forklifts.
  • Managing inventory.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, sit, and squat for entire shift.
  • Operate machinery safely.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Wear PPE as required.
