The Shakeout Machine Operator I supports large-scale food manufacturing processes, specifically involving the preparation of product following production and before packaging. The Shakeout Machine Operator I operates equipment, troubleshoots issues, identifies problems as they arise, and adheres to all related documentation and specifications.

Estimated starting annual base salary is $20.90/hour less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. Please note that the actual compensation offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined by the Company, which may include, but is not limited to, location, experience, qualifications, education, skillset, and market conditions. The target base compensation for this role is in the low to middle of the range, with the top of the range reserved for only exceptional circumstances. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary, variable annual incentive, paid based on Company performance factors. Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Operate shakeout equipment to meet customer and company specifications.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of all production documentation and related requirements.
• Conduct inventory transactions including material issuing and returns.
• Meet production goals as assigned.
• Ensure all work meets Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety, sanitation, and other company guidelines.
• Interact with computer software to read production schedules, enter downtime, scrap, document units produced, etc.
• Ensure adherence to housekeeping standards in line with GMP/NSF standards (includes routine and deep cleaning).

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of packaging or production experience in a light industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Intermediate reading comprehension, decision-making, teamwork, time-management, analytical, and mechanical skills.
• Knowledge of mathematics, performing calculations and conversions.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating machines in a manufacturing or bottling environment.
• Prior GMP and/or CPG industry experience.
• Basic material handling knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
