Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices in San Diego seeks an experienced verification engineer to join the team responsible for the GPU shader processor core. You will shape verification strategies and work across architecture, hardware, firmware, and software to validate features throughout the design cycle.

You will design tests, debug issues, and improve verification environments while collaborating with distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS or related field preferred.
• Experience with IP-level ASIC verification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of UVM-based verification environments and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architecture, hardware, and firmware teams to verify new shader core features.
• Develop verification plans for interactions across hardware, firmware, and software.
• Design, develop, and execute directed and constrained-random verification tests.
• Debug simulation failures and identify root causes of functional issues.
• Analyze functional and code coverage results to improve verification.
• Enhance verification methodologies, automation, and test infrastructure.
