Job summary

Rain Carbon Inc. is seeking an experienced SH&E Specialist for our Robinson, IL site to champion safety excellence and environmental stewardship.

You will partner with operations and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement in a dynamic industrial environment. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will serve as the site’s primary SH&E resource and collaborate with corporate SH&E, regulators, contractors, and employees to foster a proactive safety culture and ensure environmental

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of EHS experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other safety/regulatory regs.
• Experience conducting investigations, audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Strong communication and leadership with ability to influence others.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture initiatives across the facility and drive improvements.
• Conduct inspections, audits, risk assessments, and field observations.
• Investigate incidents using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and support regulatory inspections.
• Coordinate safety training and employee engagement activities.
• Prepare reports and maintain EHS documentation.
