Job summary

United Ground Express, Inc. is hiring at SFO to perform aircraft fueling and defueling, monitor fuel loading/balancing, and operate fuel tankers and carts. You will handle fuel transactions, perform daily equipment QC, and keep gear clean and functional in a team-driven, safety-focused environment.

The role requires fitness for outdoor work in all weather, clear English communication, and the ability to pass pre-employment clearances, with shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Must acquire and maintain credentials vital for the position including fingerprint clearance, local airport badging, and background check.
• Successful completion of pre-employment process which may include drug screen, hearing and fueling specific color vision check.
• Available to work any shift; day or night, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required.
• Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fueling in a safe and efficient manner, according to training and best practices.


• Responsible for defueling aircraft, as directed and in compliance with training standards.


• Ensure the correct loading and balancing of fuel.


• Safely drive and operate fuel tanker truck and stationary carts to fuel aircraft.


• Responsible for accurate accounting of fuel transactions.


• Perform daily Quality Control checks on equipment.


• Maintain equipment in clean and functional condition.
