Six Flags Fiesta Texas is seeking a Ride Mechanic Foreman to lead the Ride Maintenance team in ensuring safe, reliable operations across all attractions. This hands-on leadership role coordinates preventative and corrective maintenance, assigns work, and mentors mechanics to uphold safety standards and park performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in relevant environments.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and parts diagrams.
• OSHA safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

This is a Full Time, year round position at Six Flags Fiesta Texas offering competitive pay starting at $33 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k matching, and paid time off. How You'll Make A Difference

The Ride Mechanic Foreman is responsible for leading the daily operations of the Ride Maintenance team to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all rides and attractions at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. This position provides hands‑on technical leadership, oversees preventative and corrective maintenance activities, coordinates work assignments, and ensures compliance with all Six Flags, ASTM, manufacturer, and regulatory safety standards. The Ride Mechanic Foreman serves as a subject matter expert and mentor for mechanics while promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and supervise Ride Mechanics in the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operation of amusement rides and attractions.
• Assign daily work activities and prioritize maintenance tasks based on operational needs and ride availability.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs to maximize ride reliability and minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with manufacturer specifications, ASTM standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
• Review completed work orders and maintenance documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate ride inspections, annual certifications, and third‑party inspections as required.
• Respond to ride shutdowns and operational emergencies in a timely manner.
• Assist with seasonal ride commissioning, decommissioning, rehabilitation projects, and capital improvement initiatives.
• Monitor inventory levels and recommend parts, tools, and equipment purchases.
• Conduct safety meetings and provide ongoing coaching and development for maintenance team members.
• Collaborate with Park Operations, Safety, Engineering, and other departments to ensure safe and efficient park operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Directly supervises Ride Mechanics and Ride Maintenance Technicians.
• Provides guidance, coaching, performance feedback, and technical support.
• Assists in interviewing, onboarding, training, scheduling, and workforce development.
• Ensures adherence to attendance, safety, and performance expectations.

We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in industrial, manufacturing, amusement park, or related environments.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and parts diagrams.
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency call‑outs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in amusement ride maintenance.
• Technical school certification, associate degree, or journeyman‑level trade experience.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience with CMMS or computerized maintenance management systems.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.\
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work at heights for extended periods.
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, ride structures, and maintenance platforms.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and more with assistance.
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment and perform duties in confined spaces when required.
