Six Flags seeks animal caregivers responsible for caring for land animal areas and assigned animals. Duties include cleaning, diet prep, sourcing supplies, and assisting with shows and guest education. The role supports educational programs and hands-on animal care across a variety of species.

Candidates must be 18+, possess a high school diploma, and be comfortable speaking to large crowds in English. Lifting up to 50 lbs and outdoor/indoor work in all weather are required.

Overview:

Six Flags is look for animal caregivers are responsible for the the general care, cleanliness and maintenance of all land animal areas and assigned animals.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of all assigned areas.
• Diet preparation and record keeping.
• Retrieve food and supplies from Land Animal Kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness of offices and locker rooms.
• Learn and perform show parts as assigned.
• Assist with educational programs and guest relations.
• Assist with animal care, feeding, and training sessions as assigned.
• Animals in collection can include reptiles, invertebrates, birds, domestics, small exotics, felines andlarge hoofstock.
• Other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be comfortable speaking in front on large crowds.
• Must be articulate and able to clearly speak, read, and write in English.
• Must have good vision and hearing with or without corrective device (such as prescription glasses)
• Must be willing to listen and follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Must be willing and able to work 40 hours a week, both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions.
• Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform primary responsibilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
