Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking dedicated education consultants to support students with special needs in 1:1 or small group settings. You will build rapport with children, foster a safe learning environment, and assist teachers in delivering IEPs.

Ideal candidates have college credits or CBEST, empathetic and growth-oriented mindsets, and are comfortable with background checks. Roles are hourly and vary by assignment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates passion for education and placing students first.
• Empathetic, growth mindset, and a drive to excel in a learning environment.
• College credits, Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or CBEST preferred.
• Three professional references, at least one from a prior supervisor.
• State and federal background checks are required.

What you’ll do:

• Build rapport and trust with the children in your care
• Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment
• Support resource teacher(s) in delivering IEP’s (individual education plans)
• Take direction from lead educators and assist when needed
• Some roles include assisting various mod to severe scenarios such as Toileting; Personal 1:1 Care; Non-Verbal; Challenging or Aggressive Behaviors in the Classroom

Daily Pay Range:

Pay will vary for day-to-day assignments and is typically more for long-term placements. Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment.

You’ll stand out if you have:

• Worked with children who have Special Education needs
• Spent time in Special Education settings
• Any Special Education specific training
• ABA experience (Applied Behavior Analysis)
• Experience working in K-12 schools
• Experience with assisting in various mod to severe scenarios such as Toileting; Personal 1:1 Care; Non-Verbal; Challenging or Aggressive Behaviors in the Classroom
