Job summary

Primary is hiring a Community & Content Manager focused on Compute to grow the audience around The Compute 100 among founders, engineers, researchers and investors in San Francisco. This role sits on the marketing team and collaborates with the Compute investment pod.

Based in San Francisco, you will own content and events, turn conversations into content across X, LinkedIn, and newsletters, and build a thriving SF Compute community through dinners, salons, and meetups.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of experience across content, editorial, community, or events.
• Strong writing and editorial instincts.
• Active network in San Francisco.
• Experience building audiences through X, newsletters, and podcasts.
• Experience planning and running in-person events.

Responsibilities

• Stay actively engaged in AI compute; track trends and developments.
• Write social and editorial content across X, LinkedIn, and newsletters.
• Turn partner conversations, portfolio developments, podcast discussions, and events into sharp content.
• Develop quick, informed perspectives on market happenings and where Compute 100 adds value.
• Coordinate production details and schedules around The Compute 100’s podcast efforts.
• Plan and run in-person events throughout the Bay Area (dinners, salons, meetups).
• Build relationships with founders, engineers, researchers, investors, and compute communities in San Francisco.
• Recommend where Primary should show up and execute on that presence.
• Maintain content and event calendars; manage dependencies between streams.
• Partner with marketing on firm messaging and with the Compute pod on positioning.
