Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. in Claremont, NC is seeking a Sewing Inspector to ensure sewing operations meet quality standards in upholstery manufacturing.

You will verify cutter readiness, inspect sewn covers and borders, turn cushions for inspection, and stage items for Make Ready, supporting a fast-paced production line. The role requires 3+ years in Quality Control in upholstered furniture, attention to detail, and the ability to read tickets and track kit locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Control, upholstered furniture manufacturing.
• Computer experience for tracking and updating kit location for customer service.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet delivery requirements.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand tickets.

Responsibilities

• Assure that cutters have separated sewing work correctly for each sewing operation.
• Inspect covers after zipper and border are sewn to assure the sewing is correct.
• Assure that border has been pulled correctly.
• Turn cushion and inspect it before putting sewing pack together.
• Inspect product using established standards, as outlined in job description.
• Stage all sewn covers for the Make Ready area in Upholstery.
• Scan bundle for kit update and location of kit in manufacturing process.
