PlayCore Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Sewing Machine Operator in Carrollton, GA to maximize quality, efficiency, and fulfillment of our sewing services. This role has no supervisory duties and emphasizes safe, efficient production on industrial sewing equipment.

Responsibilities include operating machines, meeting daily output goals, inspecting products for defects, and maintaining a clean, compliant workspace. We offer a strong benefits package as part of a supportive manufacturing team.

Summary

The Sewing Machine Operator will add value to Superior Recreational Products by maximizing the quality, efficiency, and fulfillment of our products and sewing services.This position has no supervisory duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines using multiple types of fabrics and threads
• Meet or exceed consistent daily and weekly output while following quality guidelines
• Ensure integrity and quality of product in accordance with quality standards
• Inspect and repair finished products as needed and adjust the machine as needed to prevent quality issues
• Perform housekeeping tasks required to maintain a clean and orderly workspace
• Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

• Guide fabric or parts under machine needles and presser feet to sew parts together
• Inspect products and examine products to locate defects or damage, and mark errors ferred Qualifications:
• Monitor machine operation to detect problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions
• Perform equipment maintenance tasks such as replacing needles, or cleaning and oiling sewing machines
• Place spools of thread on spindles, insert bobbins, and thread ends through machine guides and components
• Position items under needles, using marks on machines, clamps, templates, or cloth as guides
• Select supplies such as thread, according to job requirements

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position is based in a plant environment where proper PPE will be required while performing tasks and duties. The position requires walking and standing for prolonged periods. As part of the regular duties of the job, this position requires the use of hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. This position regularly lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds to shoulder height and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.
