Job summary

IFB Solutions in Winston-Salem is seeking a Sewing Machine Operator I to train on operating various industrial sewing machines while following established safety procedures and work instructions.

No prior experience is required; candidates must be able to follow verbal instructions, have good dexterity, and be able to sit for extended periods while contributing to the production of first-quality products for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Check all safety devices, assuring they are in place and in working order prior to operating the machine.
• Before sewing, inspect and repair any operations incorrectly done, including unacceptable stitches on materials provided to you.
• Thread machine and change bobbin as needed.
• Following the trainer or supervisor's instructions, perform assigned sewing tasks.

Summary Statement:

Essential Job Functions

• Check all safety devices, assuring they are in place and in working order prior to operating the machine.
• Prior to sewing, inspect and repair any operations incorrectly done, including unacceptable stitches on materials provided to you.
• Thread machine and change bobbin as needed.
• Following the trainer or supervisor's instructions, perform assigned sewing tasks.

Non-Essential Job Functions

• Attend training and meetings as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as apparent or assigned.
