American Athletic, Inc is seeking a Sewing Machine Operator for its Jefferson, Iowa facility. This full-time role involves performing sewing functions in the Fabric building to help produce finished goods. The position offers a first shift with a pay range of $19.61 - $21.61 per hour and competitive benefits.

The company is a major sports equipment manufacturer owned by Spalding and part of Fruit of the Loom, with a long history of operations since 1954 in Jefferson.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to write, record, and understand measurements.
• Must read, write, and understand English fluently.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Select materials according to prints; set up and operate sewing machine.
• Assist with moving large or heavy mats as needed.
• Assist with training new employees; perform inventory and maintain a clean workstation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Report problems with raw goods, finished goods or machine defects to Lead Person or Supervisor.
