CORT Tradeshow and Events in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an upholstery sewing machine operator for our repair shop. You will repair, refurbish, and restore rental furniture to established quality standards.

The role requires sewing upholstery, leather or vinyl, cutting materials, and sewing covers, with zippers or Velcro installations. Starting pay is $18/hour, Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm, with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of related sewing experience and/or training.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Ability to make minor repairs to furniture and to match colors.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, including long hours, odd hours, and weekends.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10–15 pounds, occasionally up to 30 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision.

Responsibilities

• Repair furniture including upholstery, leather or vinyl.
• Cut vinyl or upholstery material according to patterns.
• Sew upholstery covers.
• Install zippers or Velcro.
• Assess extent of repairs needed and perform basic repairs.
• Conduct daily touch-ups and repairs of furniture.
• Order and maintain parts and supplies for repairs.
• Train other warehouse personnel in touch-up repair.
• Track daily repaired pieces for warehouse reports.
• Maintain consistent quality and quantity of work produced.

Overview

CORT Tradeshow and Events is hiring immediately for a Sewing Machine Operator in Las Vegas, NV. CORT Events provides furniture rental solutions to trade shows and events including festivals, weddings, corporate events, or even the Superbowl!

We are seeking an upholstery sewing machine operator in our repair shop. This person will be responsible for the repair and refurbishing of damaged rental furniture to bring it back to established quality standards.

Pay:

Starting at $18 / hour depending on experience

Schedule:

Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm with occassional overtime.

• Maintain a consistent quality and quantity in work produced.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work with chemical‑based repair and cleaning products safely and according to OSHA regulations,
• Must be able to work overtime as needed to include: long hours, odd hours, and weekends.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10-15 pounds, occasionally move up to 30 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
