Martin‑Baker America is seeking a detail‑oriented Sewing Machine Operator to join our on‑site team in Johnstown, PA. You will operate various sewing machines to join and reinforce fabric, velcro, webbing, and other material used in production assemblies.

We train new hires and offer health benefits, PTO, flexible schedules, and a 401k. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to read blueprints and measure to tolerance, with reliable communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to measure to a tolerance of +/- 1/16".
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout the facility; lift up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and end-of-shift housekeeping.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, flowcharts, and build plans.
• Develop skills to operate all sewing machines (single/double needle, overlock, Adler, post, CNC auto tracker, auto webbing feeder, auto velcro feeder).

The Sewing Machine Operator is responsible for operating various sewing machines to join and/or reinforce fabric, velcro, webbing, and other material used in manufacturing of production assemblies. We are seeking a detail‑oriented, motivated Sewing Technician with strong technical ability and a solid work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and complete end‑of‑shift housekeeping.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, flowcharts, and build plans.
• Develop skills to operate all sewing machines (single/double needle, overlock, Adler, post, CNC auto tracker, auto webbing feeder, auto velcro feeder).
