Job summary

Champro Sports is seeking an experienced Seamstress to operate industrial sewing machines and assemble garments, textiles, or fabric products according to patterns and specifications.

The role requires attention to detail, dexterity, and the ability to read technical drawings and patterns. Candidates should be familiar with fabrics and quality standards, with a high school diploma or GED often required. This is an on-site production position with strong maintenance responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with industrial sewing machines and related equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in stitching and measurements.
• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and patterns.
• Knowledge of different fabrics and their properties.
• Often requires a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Operating machinery: Use industrial sewing machines to sew, join, hem, reinforce, or finish materials according to technical instructions.
• Material handling: Select appropriate thread, needles, and other supplies based on product specifications and material type.
• Production: Guide fabric through the machine and maneuver workpieces to ensure accurate and consistent stitching.
• Quality control: Inspect finished products for defects, trim excess threads, and ensure the product meets company standards.
• Machine maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on sewing machines to keep them in good working order.
• Following instructions: Read and interpret blueprints, patterns, and other technical documents to understand production requirements.

Position:
