Job summary

GESMV is seeking a Sewing Operations Manager to lead and train team members in sewing machine operations, cutting processes, and sewing procedures. You will provide troubleshooting support and collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure adherence to established processes and quality standards.

You will drive efficient production workflow, mentor staff across multiple workstations, and participate in inspections and machine adjustments to address quality issues.

Qualifications

• Previous sewing experience required.
• Supervisory experience preferred, but not required.

Summary

The Sewing Operations Manager is responsible for training and leading team members on sewing machine operations, cutting processes, and sewing procedures. This position will also be responsible for providing sewing machine troubleshooting assistance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Train team members on all productive procedure including, but not limited to: cutting processes, sewing processes and the grommet process.

• Provide sewing machine troubleshooting assistance.

• Work with the Operations Manager to assure processes and procedures are followed.

• Help establish and maintain effective production workflow that meets productive quotes.

• Exhibit willingness to learn use of various equipment and sewing techniques and train team members on them.

• Willingness to perform duties at various workstations when needed.

• Train team members on inspection and repair of finished products as needed and make machine adjustments to compensate for errors or quality issues.

• Comply with all Agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, HIPAA, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.

• All other duties assigned.

Training Responsibilities

Direct training of all Machine Operators and Team Members.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred, but not required..

Experience Requirements

• Previous sewing experience is required..

• Previous supervisory experience preferred, but not required..
