Job summary

The Village of Jackson is seeking a full-time Sewer and Water Utility Operator who will serve in both the Sewer and Water Utilities, rotating based on project needs. The role involves field and plant work, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Wisconsin CDL and a high school diploma or GED, with preferred technical certifications or related experience in wastewater or drinking water systems.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• High school diploma or GED required; related technical certification desired.
• Experience or knowledge in municipal water/wastewater facilities preferred.
• Physical stamina for field duties and ability to work after hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections and monitor WWTP operations and water system.
• Maintain equipment, buildings, grounds, and perform televising when required.
• Locate utilities, hydrant maintenance, flushing, valve maintenance.
• Respond to repairs, keep records, attend trainings, and assist with snow removal.
