The City of Hutchinson is seeking a Sewer Maintenance Worker to assist with maintaining sanitary sewer systems, operating heavy department equipment, and responding to emergencies.
This entry-level role offers on-the-job training and requires a high school diploma or GED, Kansas driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a Class B CDL within 90 days. Residents within 25 minutes of the Public Works facility are preferred for after-hours calls.

The Sewer Maintenance Worker assists with the maintenance of the sanitary sewer systems. Maintaining sewer lines and operating department equipment are the primary responsibilities of this position. This employee should possess a strong mechanical aptitude, effective communication and public relation skills.
