S&J Plumbing in Arlington Heights, IL is expanding its sewer lining division and seeks an experienced Sewer Lining Technician. You will install CIPP liners, operate trenchless equipment, perform prep and cleaning, diagnose sewer conditions, and deliver top-tier customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing, sewer, drain cleaning, or underground work is REQUIRED.
• Experience with sewer cameras, jetting, or trenchless work is strongly preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Install CIPP liners in residential sewer systems.
• Operate trenchless equipment (inversion drums, cutters, curing systems).
• Perform drain cleaning and pipe prep before lining installs.
• Diagnose sewer conditions and ensure proper install execution.
• Work closely with your crew to complete jobs efficiently and correctly.
• Follow all safety protocols, including confined space procedures.
• Maintain and clean equipment and trucks.
• Provide a five-star customer experience on every job.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.

What You’ll Do

• Install CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe) liners in residential sewer systems

• Operate trenchless equipment (inversion drums, cutters, curing systems)

• Perform drain cleaning and pipe prep before lining installs

• Diagnose sewer conditions and ensure proper install execution

• Work closely with your crew to complete jobs efficiently and correctly

• Follow all safety protocols, including confined space procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in plumbing, sewer, drain cleaning, or underground work, REQUIRED

• Experience with sewer cameras, jetting, or trenchless work strongly preferred

• Ability to troubleshoot and work independently in the field

• Strong work ethic and professionalism

• Comfortable with physical work and outdoor conditions

• Team player with leadership potential

• Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
