Job description

Sewer Level 1

As a Sewer Level 1 at Honeywell, you will operate and maintain sewing machines to produce high-quality textile products. You will work as part of a team to meet production targets while upholding strict quality standards. This role demands attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Your contribution will ensure all sewn products meet specifications and quality standards, supporting the success of our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

1. Sewing operations such as sewing, serging, binding, sealing, assembly, and similar tasks.
2. Operate sewing machines safely and efficiently, including changing needles, threading, oiling, and securing attachments.
3. Guide materials under the machine needle to sew or assemble fabric and hardware.
4. Perform hand tasks like hemming, joining pieces, and repairing defective products.
5. Count and inspect products during the sewing process.
6. Achieve or surpass monthly productivity goals and contribute to department objectives.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work area, applying 5S principles.
8. Maintain all necessary records accurately.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Note: Honeywell plans to sell its PPE business to Protective Industrial Products, Inc. (PIP), with the transition expected in the first half of 2025. This role, focused on the PPE division, will be part of this transition.
