Job summary

Tom Drexler Plumbing, Air & Electric is seeking a Plumbing Helper / Apprentice to join our Sewer Installation Team in Louisville, KY. You will learn hands-on skills from a Journeyman Plumber while earning hours toward a Plumbing Journeyman's license and growing with the company.

This full-time role runs 7:00am–8:00pm, Monday–Friday, with occasional weekends. Uniforms are provided, and you’ll work with a crew focused on water maintenance, sewer construction, and related installations.

Qualifications

• Availability to work Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays.
• Comfort with physical labor and getting hands dirty.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive to multiple job sites.
• Own vehicle required to get to Louisville and Cincinnati job sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a call to let them know your estimated time of arrival.
• Relay accurate information to customers.
• Be professional and establish customer rapport, encouraging repeat business.
• Respond to customer requests, resolve issues, and promote the brand.
• Install pipes and plumbing fixtures.
• Visually inspect equipment and operate test equipment such as pressure and vacuum gauges to determine the cause and location of trouble.
• Clear obstructions from sink drains and toilets.
• Troubleshoot problems and decide how to fix them.
• Repair pipes and plumbing fixtures.
