Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC in Decatur, Alabama is hiring a Sewer Construction Laborer to support sewer maintenance, inspection and rehabilitation projects. You will operate simple and complex tools, follow directions, and perform outdoor work year-round as part of a crew.

Qualifications

• Able to follow instructions and participate in on-the-job training.
• Basic or advanced math skills.
• Ability to operate a variety of simple and complex tools.

Responsibilities

• General labor tasks to support sewer maintenance, inspection and rehabilitation projects.
• Make routine decisions and take direction from supervision.
• Work outside year-round in outdoor conditions.
• Operate and maintain pipe bursting equipment where applicable.
• Capable of lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying up to 50 lbs.
