Job summary

Haworth is seeking a Sewer II in Conover to operate sewing machines, inspect quality, and meet production specs. The role requires setting up equipment, following blueprints, and maintaining safety. You will support line efficiency, assist with maintenance, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives while training new team members.

The position is full-time, on-site at Haworth's Conover facility, with potential overtime as business demands dictate.

Qualifications

• Four years' experience operating industrial sewing machines.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools.
• Willingness to train new members and lead small projects.

Responsibilities

• Operate single and double needle sewing machines and related equipment.
• Perform quality checks on incoming cut sets and final products.
• Set up and adjust machines to produce parts per specs and tolerances.
• Maintain safe work area and follow Haworth safety rules.
• Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Support continuous improvement projects and mentor new teammates.
• Complete required production paperwork and reports.
• Flex work schedule and overtime as needed.
