Job summary

The City of Titusville is seeking a skilled Supervisor to oversee Public Works crews in Facilities Maintenance, Solid Waste, Streets, Stormwater, and Water/Sewer operations. You will assign tasks, monitor progress, ensure safety, and coordinate with the Division Leader to meet project timelines.

Responsibilities include training staff, maintaining records, ensuring quality and customer service, and responding to public inquiries while managing equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 5 years Public Works experience preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree may substitute for 2 years experience.
• Valid Florida driver’s license with clean record.
• Willingness to obtain OSHA certifications within 9–12 months.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and evaluate staff; assign work and coach performance.
• Train staff in operations and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisor to plan work and allocate resources.
• Oversee field operations; ensure work meets schedule and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety policies and PPE usage.
• Maintain records and prepare progress and incident reports.
