Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology or related field or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in English and strong communication skills.
• Minimum two years’ experience in weather reporting or anchoring preferred.
• Experience guiding, directing and motivating others.
• Proficiency with computers and office equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and work extended hours.
• Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Produces and presents weather reports for all platforms, including streaming.
• Ensures weather content meets journalistic and production standards.
• Writes and delivers weather stories clearly and engagingly.
• Creates weather graphics and digital content to enhance storytelling.
• Responds to breaking or severe weather and urgent newsroom situations.
• Collaborates with Weather and digital content teams for timely updates across platforms.
• Produces and publishes weather content for counton2.com, WCBD+, and social channels.
• Produces and hosts live streams for severe weather coverage.
