Job summary

Boyd Corporation in Beaverton, OR is seeking an experienced mold setup technician to join our manufacturing team. You will set up and troubleshoot injection molds, read specifications for correct set-up and temperature/time settings, and enter molding parameters in the press.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in an injection molding environment, strong math and tool-handling skills, and good written and verbal communication. Beaverton location with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two years of recent injection molding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.

Set-up, remove and troubleshoot injection mold tooling and auxiliary equipment.

Perform preventative maintenance on injection molds.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Ability to set-up molds.
• Ability to troubleshoot machine processes.
• Ability to read specifications to determine machine set-up and prescribed temperature and time settings.
• Ability to repair and maintain machines and auxiliary equipment using hand and power tools.
• Enter molding parameters in the press.

• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Required Skills

• Strong written/verbal communication
• Good decision-making skills
• Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities
• Regular and predictable attendance
• At least two years recent experience in an injection molding environment
• Excellent math skills needed
• Ability to read blueprints and other engineering drawings
• Knowledge and ability to use various hand tools
• Basic PC and internet skills
