Job summary

Oetiker, Inc. is seeking a skilled Die Setter to operate and maintain metal stamping equipment in a manufacturing environment. You will start up and shut down machines, change tooling and coils, and ensure adherence to quality specifications during production.

The role requires 3 years’ experience as a die setter and strong accuracy in measurement and inspection, with attention to safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prefer 3+ years as a die setter in a metal stamping facility.
• Strong assembly and inspection skills needed.

Responsibilities

• Start up and shut down all machines.
• Change coils on all machines.
• Un-jam Bihler, Lens, Finzer, BMS, Spako and Ing Yu.
• Regrind dies for Bihler, Lens, Finzer, BMS, Spako and Ing Yu.
• Set-up, troubleshoot, and repair listed machines to pass FAIR.
• Overhead crane operation.
• Pull tooling from Lean Lift.
• Ensure compliance with manuals and product safety.
• Keep a neat and orderly work environment.
• Quality inspection of products: measure to print, gauge parts, enter data into Fastcheck, perform visual inspections.

Job Description

Essential Functions

• Start up and shut down all machines
• Change coils on all machines
• Un-jam Bihler, Lens, Finzer, BMS, Spako and Ing Yu
• Regrind dies for Bihler, Lens, Finzer, BMS, Spako and Ing Yu
• Set-up, troubleshoot, and repair Bihler, Finzers, Lens, BMS, Spako and Ing Yu (change tooling, set feeder and change modules) of all machines to pass FAIR
• Overhead crane operation
• Pull tooling from Lean Lift
• Ensure compliance with ICM master manual, process manuals and product safety
• Keep a neat and orderly work environment
• Quality Inspection
  • Measure products to print specifications with use of calipers
  • Gauge parts to engineering specifications
  • Enter data into Fastcheck
  • Conduct quality visual inspection of finished product
