Job summary

Oetiker Group in Michigan is seeking an experienced die setter to start up, troubleshoot, and maintain stamping equipment, ensuring safety and quality. You will work with Bihler-type dies and tooling, adjust feeds, and participate in maintaining process documentation.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and a preference for 3 years of die-setting experience. You will inspect parts with calipers, log data, and uphold a clean, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• Must have assembly and inspection skills with basic math and reading comprehension.
• Strong ability to interpret prints and specs during setup and quality checks.
• Ability to read gauges/calipers and record data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Start up and shut down machines.
• Change coils on all machines.
• Un-jam Bihler, Lens, Finzer, BMS, Spako and Ing Yu.
• Regrind dies for Bihler, Lens, Finzer, BMS, Spako and Ing Yu.
• Set-up, troubleshoot, and repair machines to pass FAIR.
• Overhead crane operation.
• Pull tooling from Lean Lift.
• Ensure compliance with manuals and product safety.
• Keep a neat and orderly work environment.
• Quality Inspection: measure with calipers, gauge parts, enter data into Fastcheck, and visually inspect finished products.

• Un-jam Bihler, Lens, Finzer, BMS, Spako and Ing Yu
• Regrind dies for Bihler, Lens, Finzer, BMS, Spako and Ing Yu
• Set-up, troubleshoot, and repair Bihler, Finzers, Lens, BMS, Spako and Ing Yu (change tooling, set feeder and change modules) of all machines to pass FAIR
• Overhead crane operation
• Pull tooling from Lean Lift
• Ensure compliance with ICM master manual, process manuals and product safety
• Keep a neat and orderly work environment
• Quality Inspection
  • Measure products to print specifications with use of calipers
  • Gauge parts to engineering specifications
  • Enter data into Fastcheck
  • Conduct quality visual inspection of finished product
