Job description

D&W Fine Pack, a Mid Oaks Investments portfolio company, provides a wide range of products serving the food service and food packaging industry.

We have an immediate opportunity for a Tooling & Set up Technician-1. In this role, you will perform basic setup and/or maintenance of tooling and equipment to support manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  1. Follow plant safety procedures and guidelines.
  2. Know emergency procedures and respond appropriately in cases of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc.
  3. Wear and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  4. Understand and implement Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
  5. Report safety issues and workplace injuries or incidents immediately to your supervisor.
  6. Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  7. Maintain a neat and organized workstation.
  8. Complete all required documentation accurately.
  9. Assist other workers with specific chores as needed.
  10. Follow plant quality practices, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  11. Insert and remove molds and/or dies as required.
  12. Prepare molds and dies for use, including trimming.
  13. Inspect and clean molds, then return them to storage racks.
  14. Perform tool changes and make final adjustments.
  15. Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments to resolve processing problems.
