Job summary

Knowledge Road is hiring NYS-certified Special Education Teachers to work as SETSS providers on a 1099 basis in Brooklyn. The position pays $60 to $100 an hour depending on group size.

We hold a New York City DOE contract to provide IEP- and IESP-mandated services to students who attend independent, parochial and charter schools across the borough, plus some homeschooled students. These are not DOE public school placements.

Qualifications

• NYS certification in Students with Disabilities (B-2, 1-6, 7-12 or All Grades).
• Availability to work in Brooklyn.
• Not employed by NYC Department of Education within the past year; may require special approval.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver one-to-one or small-group SETSS instruction aligned to each students IEP or IESP goals.
• Keep session notes and complete required documentation.
• Complete progress reports as required.
• Communicate with the school, the family and the students' team.
• Attend IESP meetings for the students you work with.
