Space Kinetic in El Segundo, CA offers the SETA Engineering Development Program (3 Months - Path to Hire). This is a full-time, onsite program with 40 hours per week, pairing you with a mentor and giving exposure to mechanical, aerospace, and astrodynamics projects.

Interns work on mission-critical tasks, participate in technical reviews, and are evaluated for long-term opportunities. Outstanding interns may receive a full-time offer upon completion based on performance and initiative.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Physics from an accredited university.
• Strong background in physics and mathematics.
• Intermediate coding ability for analysis, modeling, simulation, and data processing.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical and aerospace engineering research activities.
• Perform analytical, parameter-driven analyses and write white papers with clear findings and methodologies.
• Prepare engineering summaries, technical documentation, and presentation materials.
• Support engineering coordination across technical teams.
• Assist with analysis of engineering data, system concepts, and design approaches.
• Participate in technical discussions and engineering reviews.
• Support rapid research tasks and problem-solving in a startup environment.
• Develop trade studies and early-stage simulations and models.
