Job summary

Newly Weds Foods in Cleveland, TN is seeking a warehouse associate to support production by accurately selecting and weighing ingredients for blending, and by staging materials for mixing.

You will operate forklift safely, assist with inventory, follow allergen control procedures, and maintain sanitation and safety as part of a team ensuring timely customer orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years warehouse experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate forklift and load move system.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Select correct ingredients and provide accurate amounts of bulk ingredients per batch requirements.
• Provide accurate weights of partial ingredients per batch requirements.
• Stage ingredients on pallets for blending.
• Must drive a forklift.
• Follow established Allergen Control Program Procedures as it applies to shipping, receiving and warehousing.
• Must be able lift up to 75 pounds continuously
• Must maintain integrity of raw materials
• Must assist in inventory and cycle counts
• Must follow good manufacturing practices, and be responsible for sanitation of assigned area.
• Must follow all Safety Rules.
• Cooperates in maintaining a safe and respectful work environment

Work Environment

The job is performed in the warehouse and production areas where the person will be exposed to strong aromas, airborne dust particles emanating from ingredients being used, and will be in the presence of or otherwise operating machinery.
