Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Set-Up Technician for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00–11:00pm) to support production by setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting machines with guidance from management or qualified associates.

Responsibilities include setting up, operating and maintaining equipment to support operations; making repairs under direction; ensuring cosmetic criteria and communicating quality information; documenting production, maintenance and QC audits; and keeping the work area clean and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude tested and ensured.
• Ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
• Great attention to detail is required.
• Ability to manage interruptions professionally.
• Basic math and reasoning skills expected.
• Moderate computer and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, operate, and maintain equipment to support operations.
• Make professional modifications and repairs to existing equipment under supervision.
• Ensure cosmetic criteria and communicate quality criteria to team.
• Relay product and quality information to Operators, Inspectors, Supervisors and peers in writing and verbally.
• Document production, maintenance and QC audits performed.
• Organize and maintain order and cleanliness of equipment, storage areas and the department.
• Perform other duties as required by production and business needs.

• Make professional and lasting modifications and repairs to existing equipmentwith direction from management or qualified associates
• Responsible for cosmetic criteria as specified and communicating criteria to employees
• Relay pertinent product and quality related information to Operators, Inspectors, Supervisors, and peers, in bothwritten and verbalforms
• Documentation of production, maintenance, and QC audits performed
• Organizing andmaintainingthe order and cleanliness of equipment, storageareasandthedepartment as a whole
• Other duties and projects, as required by production and business need

Education, Skills,and Experience:

• High SchoolDiploma or equivalent required
• Previousmanufacturing experience preferred
• Successful completion of Mechanical Aptitude test
• Established ability toidentifyand communicate issues and offer proposed solutions
• Greatattention to detailisrequired
• Ability to manage interruptions in a professional and respectful manner is essential
• Above basic math skills and reasoning ability
• Moderate computer and Microsoft Office skills
• Forklift certification
