What you’ll do:

The Brass Tacks

  • Ensures event space is walk- through ready.
  • Ensures all team members understand Banquet Event Order details as pertains to team for each event
  • Provides example through work ethic to team members.
  • Works with Operations Managers to ensure proper daily staffing levels, and all property colleagues to provide the highest quality and consistent operation.
  • Build and implement opening, handover and closing checklists to ensure cleanliness and organization of the property.
  • Accurately forecasts number and types of furniture needed and anticipates the need for additional items
  • Enthusiastically sets and clears rooms daily, including moving equipment, boxes and furniture, and washing dishes and glasses used in the meeting rooms.
  • Keep water stations stocked and set to standard.
  • Ability to follow timelines and a schedule of events.
  • Provide and ensure customer service
  • Proactively and effectively assists with the resolution ofservice glitches. (E.g. responds immediately, seeks solutions, communicates effectively to all concerned, etc.)
  • Attend daily meetings with Operations and Culinary to discuss upcoming events. Keeps set up team advised of events and changes.
  • Ensures storage areas and conference rooms are set to their property default setting

The Nitty Gritty:

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing deadlines
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
