Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Richmond, IN is seeking a dependable production setup technician to manage jig/tooling installations and establish robust process parameters for ongoing jobs.

You will coordinate with quality to obtain first piece approval, document setups, and pursue continuous improvement while maintaining a safe, clean workspace.

This full-time role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 55 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up production equipment and processes.
• Able to operate forklift, overhead crane, power tools, and computer.
• Strong problem analysis and reasoning abilities.
• Excellent communication, team orientation, and self-starting attitude.
• Must have excellent attendance and ability to lift 55 pounds.
• Capable of performing essential responsibilities with reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Set up production jobs including tooling installation and process parameter setting.
• Get first piece approval from quality for new or changed setups.
• Develop robust setups for new jobs with process engineer and document them.
• Set up and use scientifically approved methods for processes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly workplace and proper equipment care.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned.

• Proper setup of existing jobs Including but not limited to the proper installation of the tooling, material, setting approved process parameters, programming automation equipment, conveyers, and general readiness of the job. Insuring the robustness of these setups.
• Responsible for obtaining 1st piece approval from the quality department.
• Capable of doing first time setups and developing robust setups/processes for new jobs with the assistance of a process engineer. Document the setup.
• Capable of setting up and using scientific approved methods.
• Effective use of time. Continuous improvement of setups.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work place. Maintain equipment properly.
• Responsible to follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of all Set-up requirements for production equipment and processes.
• Able to operate a forklift, overhead crane, power tools, and computer if required.
