We are seeking an experienced Multi Spindle Set-Up Operator to join our team for the 1st shift (Monday-Thursday, 5:00am-3:00pm) and enjoy a 4-day work week with paid lunch!

Multi Spindle Set-Up
Shift:
1st Shift, Monday-Thursday: 5:00am-3:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Recognize nonconforming products and services, and shut down production processes when defective parts/materials are found.
- Implement changes to maintain compliance with Roberts ISO-9002:1994 Quality System.
- Set up and operate multiple spindle screw machines with automatic indexing and feeding mechanisms to perform various machining operations, analyzing blueprints and specifications to select appropriate tooling.
- Visualize machine movements and plan operation sequences for efficiency.
- Select appropriate cutting speeds, feed rates, and tools based on experience and material properties.
- Install and adjust tooling, cams, gears, and stops to control machine operation.
- Position and verify tools using gauges and measuring instruments.
- Adjust machine controls for optimal operation, and verify conformance to specifications using gauges and instruments.
- Calibrate during runs with specialized gauges and tools.
- Replace worn tools and instruct other workers as needed.
- Operate bench and R&O grinders for tool sharpening.
- Set up and operate single spindle screw machines as required.
- Troubleshoot issues and use statistical process control techniques.
- Maintain safety standards and good housekeeping in the work area.
Required Skills:
- Mechanically inclined with problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Basic math skills.
- Experience with machines such as Davenport, Acme, Gildemeister, Euroturn.
