Job summary

Pharmavite is seeking a hardworking individual in Alabama to clean, assemble, and maintain Soft Gel machinery, ensuring quality products and compliance with GMP standards. The role includes routine maintenance, tool crib duties, and supporting changeovers within a production environment.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience, plus knowledge of Soft Gel operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cleans Soft Gel Tooling (dies and wedges).
• Cleans Soft Gel pumps, cases and associated parts, including disassembling, steam cleaning, wiping, rinsing and polishing in compliance with set hygienic standards.
• Re-assembles Soft Gel pumps and cases.
• Inspects and tests equipment to ensure product will meet pre-determined specifications.
• Trouble-shoots malfunctions in equipment and performs minor mechanical repair to equipment using small hand tools.
• Maintains a wide variety of routine records including those on tools, dies, service, cleaning and calibration into logbooks and data base.
• Performs all duties in compliance with safety rules, standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices.
• Monitors production schedule to ensure set-ups and pumps are available.
• Supports in performing changeovers.
• Performs any/all of the duties of a Soft Gel operator.

Responsible for cleaning, installing tooling and assembling all ancillary parts of Soft Gel machine equipment to ensure production of quality products in accordance with set standards. Also responsible for performing routine maintenance on machinery.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience required.

• Minimum of one (1) year of related experience required.

• Working knowledge of Soft Gel operations and/or tool crib maintenance, typically gained through at least one year of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

• Mechanical skills to effectively maintain, troubleshoot, and perform routine repairs to complex precision equipment. Typically, these skills result from one to three years working experience in similar positions. The ability to operate standard hand tools skills required. Experience with calipers and micrometer.

• Fluent English oral, reading and writing skills to communicate equipment problems with others, read/understand operating manuals and maintain written maintenance and repair records.

• Working knowledge of soft Gel operation; prefer knowledge of process equipment associated with manufacture of solid and liquid forms.

• Basic computer skills.

Physical or Work Requirements

• Performs work in manufacturing, warehouse, or production environments and require frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and repetitive motion throughout the shift.

• Employees may be required to operate machinery or powered equipment, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, moving equipment, or manufacturing materials, and lift or move materials weighing up to 25–50 pounds.

• Some roles may require overtime, shift work, weekends, or extended schedules based on business needs.

The salary range for this position is
$40,000.00 - $66,000.00.

Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment.
