Job summary

HARTING Technology Group in Elgin, IL is seeking a Setup Technician for our Injection Molding operation. You will execute plans and processes to produce high-quality molded parts for our durable connectivity solutions, while supporting ISO 9001 requirements.

You will setup, operate, and troubleshoot injection molding machines, perform mold set-ups, and collaborate with engineering to meet customer specifications. A minimum of 3 years’ experience and proficiency in English are required.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• 3+ years injection molding machine experience required.
• Arburg machine experience highly preferred.
• Knowledge of injection molding of thermoplastics, processes, tooling and validation protocols.
• Must speak and read English proficiently with good communication skills.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Work in ISO 9001 environment.

• Work with external tool shop for repairs and maintenance.

We are seeking for a Setup Technician for our Injection Molding operation in our Elgin, IL regional headquarters plant! The Injection Molding Setup Technician executes plans and processes to produce high quality injection molded products for our durable, connectivity solution.

To succeed in this role, you will be highly driven to:

• Setup, operate, and troubleshoot various injection molding machines at high efficiency
• Perform mold set-up and changes as required by production schedule
• Work with external tool shop for extensive repairs and maintenance
• Use basic tool shop equipment
• Perform all duties in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001
• Perform basic programming Servo robotic equipment and make any necessary adjustments to ensure the automation is operating efficiently
• Assist with setting up injection molding machines and all related auxiliary equipment
• Allow the manufacture of product that meets or exceeds the established quality levels
• Collaborate with engineering team to meet customer requirements

Skills And Experience To Thrive In This Role

• High school or equivalent required
• 3+ years injection molding machine experience required
• Arburg machine experience highly preferred
• Working knowledge of terminology and technical experience with injection molding of thermoplastics, processes, tooling and validation protocols
• Must be able to speak and read English proficiently including good communication skills, both written and oral
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

• HARTING's Total Compensation Structure includes a Base Salary and Bonus Percentage.
• Competitive hourly rate: $20.00/hr - 30.00/hr (commensurate with experience)
