Job summary

The Reputation MD is seeking an experienced Set Designer / Set Builder to lead a two-week studio build inside an existing commercial office space in Solana Beach, California. You will translate concepts into a practical build, source materials, and execute with a small crew in a fast-paced environment.

We value hands-on builders with experience in TV/film production, production design, and set construction.

Qualifications

• Experience in TV/film production environments.
• Able to design and physically build—this is a hands-on position.
• Understands production lighting, camera angles, sightlines and how sets photograph.
• Experience building flats, platforms/stages, scenic walls and finish carpentry.
• Can source lumber, finishes, carpeting, curtains, lighting, hardware and other materials locally.
• Has own professional tools and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead on a custom television/podcast studio build inside an occupied office space in Solana Beach, CA.
• Translate creative direction and concept designs into a practical build.
• Source materials and execute the build on a tight two-week schedule.
• Ensure cable management and integration of production equipment into the set.
• Collaborate with team to deliver a high-end office-studio look on camera.

This is a Contracted position in the field of Film / Motion Picture Production , located in Solana Beach, CA .

The position pays $5,000.00 — $10,000.00 per job.

We are looking for an experienced Set Designer / Set Builder to take the lead on a custom television/podcast studio build inside an existing commercial office space in Solana Beach, California.This is a fast-moving, approximately two-week build. We already have the overall creative direction and concept designs. We need someone who can take that vision, help translate it into a practical build, source the materials, and execute it.The set has a sophisticated dark steakhouse / speakeasy / executive-club feel and includes a small raised stage, scenic flats, wood/wainscoting treatments, curtains, framed artwork, integrated practical lighting, television monitors, host and interview areas, and accommodations for multiple cameras, microphones, lighting and cable management.

Experience
