Job summary

The Camp Hill School District is seeking candidates for available contracted positions to support its Fall 2026 High School Musical, Hadestown: Teen Edition. The Set Builder role offers a $1,000.00 stipend and involves building scenery, reading blueprints, and collaborating with the technical team to realize the production vision.

Qualifications

• Carpentry knowledge and experience in live-event construction.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with hand and power tools, including saws and drills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long hours.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Build scenery, walls, platforms, and large props per provided drawings.
• Follow technical drawings and scale models from the set designer.
• Collaborate with designers and crew to ensure functional, aesthetic sets.
• Ensure sets are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Set up pieces on stage and assist with set strike after shows.
• Use power tools safely and maintain a clean workspace.
• Attend production meetings as needed.
• Communicate material and equipment needs to the Technical Director.
• Coordinate with volunteers and Pollock Center staff when needed.
• Adapt designs to fit stage constraints and fix pieces as required.
