About the role

The Services Technician performs configuration, modification, repair, testing, and/or servicing on IT devices, including hardware, peripherals, and software configuration. Responsibilities include:

  1. Deploy images and customize software based on provided work instructions.
  2. Identify and troubleshoot system hardware problems.
  3. Perform Quality Control inspections.
  4. Provide Labs Management with reports on daily and/or weekly productivity.
  5. Manage time efficiently to utilize resources including parts, tools, inventory, and own time.
  6. Navigate through SAP and Excel used for order processing.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or 2 years of related experience or training; or equivalent education and experience. Experience with PCs, messaging, and server software is required. Knowledge of LAN/WAN and basic scripting is a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows OS, vendor diagnostics, imaging software like Ghost, MDT, or SCCM.
  • Minimum of one year hardware troubleshooting experience, including laptops and desktops from Tier One vendors.
  • Familiarity with vendor websites for updates and engineering changes on Tier One products (IBM, Compaq, HP, Toshiba).
  • A+ certification and at least one vendor hardware certification required. Minimum of one year bench and/or on-site technical experience.
