Job Description Summary
We are seeking an experienced Services Subcontractor Performance Manager to oversee and advise the Nuclear Services Business on its subcontractor (variable) workforce planning strategy, development, and performance. This role will work with the Services Staffing Team, Field Service Leaders, HR, and Sourcing to identify, advise, and solve any needs the Field Services team has as it relates to subcontractor vendor management, overall subcontractor vendor performance, ability to fill critical contractor roles, and recruitment and retention of key contractor talent. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in variable workforce planning, vendor management, contract negotiations, and will be instrumental in aligning resource strategies with organizational goals while driving operational efficiency and enhancing the customer experience.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Create and manage short- and long-term subcontractor staffing strategy plans in coordination with GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) Staffing Team and the Subcontractor Vendors to ensure alignment with business goals and customer expectations.
- Monitor and adjust the strategies in real-time to respond to changes in demand and other operational changes.
- Collaborate with the GVH Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP’s) team to develop strategies to maintain available variable workforce personnel.
- Evaluate staffing options with business lines, human resources and sourcing to resolve variable workforce related challenges.
- Identify opportunities to improve variable workforce development processes and contribute to strategic workforce initiatives.
- Partner with the Sourcing Team and relevant GVH Services Leaders to identify, evaluate and on-board variable workforce (VWF) suppliers/vendors to meet key workforce demands of the business.
- Engage in negotiating commercial terms and conditions with Subcontractor Vendors while consulting with GVH Sourcing, Operations, Legal, and business line management.
- Analyze variable workforce performance data and KPIs and provide actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor subcontractor supplier performance against KPIs and implement improvement initiatives as required to meet business goals.
- Prepare and present monthly subcontractor reports, performance dashboards to operations leadership, business leads and executives to help the business understand the overall performance of our subcontractor vendors.
- Ensures adherence to the terms and conditions of supplier agreements and assist in resolving commercial issues with variable/contractor workforce suppliers.
- Understands the Nuclear Field Services business and can recommend and implement different strategies and solutions to overcome short and long term subcontractor staffing needs to meet business demands.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in subcontractor workforce management
- OR High School Diploma and 7+ years of experience in subcontractor workforce management.
Eligibility Requirements:
- The preferred work location for this role is at the GVH Headquarters Wilmington, NC but highly qualified remote candidates will be considered
- Up to 15% domestic travel to supplier and customers sites is required (20% if remote)

Desired Characteristics
- Proficiency with workforce management and reporting software tools (P6 or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting/analytics tools (Tableau of similar).
- Experience in staffing power generation services projects.
- Knowledge of domestic/local labor laws.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
The base pay range for this position is $104,000 to $140,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on Friday May 30th
