Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an experienced ServiceNow developer to translate business requirements into architectural designs and lead the development of ServiceNow applications. You will provide technical guidance, configure and enhance modules such as ITSM, GRC, and SPM, and stay current with platform features.

Role requires 4+ years of professional ServiceNow work, the ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust or Secret clearance, and DC metro area commuting 2–3 days weekly.

Qualifications

• Must have at least four years of professional ServiceNow development experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust or Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred.
• ServiceNow certifications are preferred (CSA/CIS/CAD).
• Ability to commute to client/corporate offices in the Washington, DC metro area 2-3 days per week.

What You Will Do:

• Help translate complex business requirements into technical designs and solutions using ServiceNow.
• Lead the development of ServiceNow applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to other ServiceNow developers.
• Develop, configure, and enhance ServiceNow applications.
• Stay current with ServiceNow products, features, and industry trends to drive innovation.
• Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for improving existing ServiceNow implementations.
• Conduct reviews of functionality developed by ServiceNow development team and perform unit, system, and integration testing.
• Debug and fix technical problems.
• Support the development of detailed technical and functional documentation.
• Provide demonstrations of developed applications to product owners and end users.
• Participate in platform upgrade activities, including regression testing and reconfiguration.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and maintainability of ServiceNow solutions.

What You Will Need:

• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a DHS “PUBLIC TRUST” or “SECRET” security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE DHS PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
• Minimum of FOUR (4) years of professional experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Information Technology or Business is preferred)
• ServiceNow certifications: CSA, CIS, or CAD is preferred
• Ability to commute to client or corporate offices within the Washington, DC metropolitan area 2-3 days per week.
• Experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies, deliverables, and controls.
• Expertise in ServiceNow Modules such as GRC, SPM, and ITSM, as well as with App Engine and Scoped Apps.
• Experience with web services integration, specifically Mid-Server, SOAP, and REST, preferred.
• Strong experience with scripting (JavaScript, Glide, AngularJS), Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
• Experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies, deliverables, and controls.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and establish rapport with a diverse array of people at all levels.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience with web services integration, specifically Mid-Server, SOAP, and REST preferred.
• Agile, SCRUM or SAFe certifications.
• General understanding of financial management aspects (i.e., financial operations, financial innovation, internal control, risk management, etc.), particularly in a federal environment.
