Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to join our high-performing Department of Education development team. This position is remote.
What you will do:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform.
- Customize and integrate applications with other systems to meet business requirements.
- Use scripting languages like JavaScript and Glide API to configure the platform, automate processes, and ensure seamless data transfer.
- Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and applications through APIs and other methods.
- Configure and manage the ServiceNow platform, including user access, roles, and permissions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow applications and the platform.
- Provide support to users and other developers.
- Determine upgrade and enhancement parameters, test, and debug implementations.
- Prioritize, assess, and present options based on time, scope, and cost considerations.
- Work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Design solutions that are standard, repeatable, and minimally customized.
- Communicate effectively through documentation, email, and conversations with team and stakeholders.
- Share knowledge and provide mentorship as needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Five (5) years of experience with the ServiceNow platform as an administrator/developer.
- Experience in deploying and supporting ITSM and ITOM, including CMDB and Discovery, with MID server and service portal.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow development (GLIDE, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer, ACLs, Script Includes, UI Scripts, APIs).
- Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
- Ability to produce deliverables within timelines.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for ServiceNow bugs and issues.
- Proficiency in debugging and error log analysis.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations, App Engine Studio, multi-vendor environment support, CMDB Service Mapping, IRM/GRC, web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML), Certified Implementation Specialist - IT Service Management, ITIL v3 or higher, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000, based on experience and other factors.
