Job description

Seeking a ServiceNow Developer with significant knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, services, and associated configurations. Will collaborate with others in a team environment to analyze problems and develop solutions to customer requests though a wide variety of ServiceNow applications and capabilities.

You will apply extensive knowledge of ServiceNow to configure custom tables, workflows and procedures for various internal groups for our client to deliver enterprise-wide business processes working closely with the ServiceNow platform team to implement all changes. Must possess the skills and essential knowledge necessary to design, build, and customize applications and services within ServiceNow as a lead contributor in the entire development life cycle.

Open to W2 / 1099 / C2C

Position requires US citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Location preference is Washington DC area but open to east coast (remote position)

What You Will Do:

• Implement systems using the Agile/Scrum methodology
• Provide insight and expertise into the ServiceNow platform capabilities and roadmap
• Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate roll out of new applications and modules and configure Application UI and Configure Workflow
• Implement ServiceNow integrations (Rest API design, web services, database integrations)
• Transform business needs from the customer to tangible items within ServiceNow using platform modules or creating new scoped applications
• Work with the client and business stakeholders to create workflows, working demos, and prototypes prior to full deployment within the ServiceNow environment
• Experience operating in an agile software development and SDLC
• Work closely with the ServiceNow technical team to convert requirements into design and migration steps
• Communicate with technical and non-technical customers by answering questions related to ServiceNow Platform

What You Need:

• 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow development, including core ITSM tables, Glide, scripting, business rules, client scripts, data imports, custom apps, and development methods
• Experience with implementing scripted Web services in ServiceNow, jQuery, or Prototype libraries, Java, and CMDB or asset integrations in ServiceNow
• Solved complex business problems by engineering existing, and new algorithms
• Knowledge of REST and SOAP Web services protocols
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills with non-technical staff
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
• ServiceNow Certification, Certified Application Developer or ITILv3 Foundations Certification
