Job description

Merrifield, VA Contract On-Site Flexibility/Remote: 100%

PlanIT Group is seeking a ServiceNow Asset Management Developer for our Federal customer in the Merrifield, VA area. The ideal candidate has experience in implementing and customizing ServiceNow Asset Management modules, with knowledge of CMDB (Configuration Management Database) for asset tracking and integration.

  • Start Date: 05/19/25

  • Duration: One year plus annual extensions
Responsibilities
  1. Implement and customize ServiceNow Asset Management modules.
  2. Develop and enhance dashboards with data visualization features such as heat maps.
  3. Integrate real-time data from external databases into software systems.
  4. Implement drill-down menus and query-based search functionalities.
  5. Integrate Product Software with external databases like WebEOR, SEAM, and OSL via APIs, ETL tools, or data connectors.
  6. Ensure data integrity, cleaning, transformation, and consolidation from multiple sources.
  7. Work with database systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases, and utilize database querying and integration tools.
  8. Use ETL tools to connect and process data between systems, ensuring real-time synchronization.
Educational and Experience Requirements

A degree from an accredited college/university in a relevant field is preferred. If not available, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.

Additional Skills and Knowledge
  • Proficiency in workflows, reporting, automation, and dashboard development.
  • Expertise in integrating software with external databases via APIs and ETL tools.
  • Knowledge of database systems, including SQL and NoSQL.
Additional Provisions
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance.
  • Pass client-mandated clearance processes, including drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks.
  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident and have resided in the US for the past 5 years.
  • No more than 6 months of travel outside the US in the last five years (military service excluded).
